Just Transition – Are we leaving people behind?

Transition in the face of climate change and biodiversity loss is inevitable – justice is not.

Our final Community Resilience Forum explores the meanings of a Just Transition through real-life examples. We will talk about the barriers of a Just Transition and this is an opportunity for participants to voice any personal concerns they have about the social changes that are encouraged in climate action plans, such as energy transitions away from fossil fuels, and the privilege it takes to be a part of it.

Together with the co-authors of Bristol’s Just Transition Declaration and Rona Hardie from Just Transition, we will explore what this future can look like, learn what actions it takes to get there and discover how we need to be considering a Just Transition and the benefits it can bring to our community.
